Cet is a constructed language created in 2016 and an official language of Ceticilia, which has continuously updated to the present day. Bearing little resemblance to its original form, Cet is - in its current form - a highly agglutinative language with fusional elements and a base vocabulary that is expanded through derivational morphology. Most of its source vocabulary is derived from West Germanic, with some a priori vocabulary and some loanwords from other language families, while its grammar is inspired by Turkic and Uralic languages, influenced by some Latin elements.

Vowel harmony

Cet contrasts front and back harmony, referring to the positioning of the tongue in respect to the vowel produced, for suffixes and prefixes either the -a-, -e- or -o- infixes are used for neutral, front and back harmony respectively, the first of which, the neutral harmony only appears if the only vowels are ⟨a⟩ or ⟨á⟩ as these are transparent in all other cases.
